Bagalwa Foundation is a nonprofit organization registered in both the United States and the Democratic Republic of Congo, dedicated to restoring hope and creating opportunities for orphaned and vulnerable children and widowed women affected by war and conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
War has left many children without parents and many women without spouses, often resulting in interrupted education, hunger, limited access to healthcare, and severe economic hardship. Bagalwa Foundation was created to help these children, women, and families rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope.
We believe that loss should never be the end of someone's story. Through compassion, opportunity, and empowerment, Bagalwa Foundation is helping children and women write a new chapter.
We serve widowed women, orphans, and vulnerable children who face barriers to education, nutrition, healthcare, and other essential services. Our goal is to provide the support they need today while empowering them to build stronger, healthier, and more independent futures.
Our programs are designed to address both immediate hardship and the underlying challenges that keep families in poverty.
