The Bagalwa Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people in the conflict-affected eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). We need your support to continue our work. You can make a difference by sponsoring one of our key projects, or sponsor a child, or a widowed woman, or joining us on a trip. All donations are tax deductible up to $100.
God loves all children. The Scripture reveals God’s heart for the fatherless and James 1:27 commands us to care for orphaned children for his glory. Sadly, a safe and permanent family placement is not always available. Our foundation is committed to building orphanages, schools and libraries in villages in Africa where children can find safety and care.
Our goal is to provide a secure and peaceful environment for orphanages and children for their education and healthy lifestyle.
Our Foundation is also developing a farm to grow food and building a 920 KW hydroelectric dam to supply electricity to the villagers. We encourage you to think celestial when considering supporting our project.

Lack of energy is one of the major obstacles to development in rural area, hampering job creation and economic opportunities for young people and women in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Only nine percent of Congolese are on the electric grid.
A micro hydro power plant in the village of Luwhindja, eastern part of DR.Congo is being built by the Bagalwa Foundation and projected to be completed in January 2023, with the aim to supply more than 5,000 people with electricity. We are currently looking for $35,000 to buy cables so we can distribute electricity to local population in the village. With your support, the plant will help address instability and social tensions by offering income generating activities to young people and women, increasing basic social services, and tackling the rural exodus to the cities and children will be able to do their homework at night.
Bagalwa Foundation's vision is to eliminate water scarcity in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, one village at the time. Globally, 785 million people lack even a basic drinking-water service¹. That’s over twice the population of the United States! Drinking contaminated water can transmit diseases and back in 2017 nearly 1.6 million people died from diarrheal diseases². 1/3 of those were children under the age of 5.
Bagalwa Foundation is working hard to improve access to clean water, hygiene and healthcare in underserved communities. Since we started, we have been able to provide clean water for more than 800 peoples living in the village.
